Kumar Memorial Awards for public speaking

The power of the spoken words is mightier than the pen or sword. The importance of emphatic public speaking has been upheld through the centuries. The importance of spreading awareness about honing and development of public speaking cannot be over-emphasized, and targeting youth and professionals to do so is the underlying idea.

The impact is magnified when the words come from someone who speaks with passion, accuracy, competence, credibility, intelligence, and knowledge. We all meet, watch, and hear many people each day; some we agree with and others we don’t; but then sometimes we listen to compelling speakers and we experience a paradigm shift. Such remarkably rare magnetic speakers—irrespective of their age and stage in life—inspire and influence the audience and society at large. They are the embodiment of success. Our search begins for such exceptional orators whether at school/ college/ university/ organizational levels…

The Vision with which this Event has been conceptualised is:

  • to identify eloquent and dynamic speakers with talent and provide a platform to them to unleash their potential
  • to develop the competence of individuals in Public Speaking which is an essential precursor to success, thereby contributing to nation building
  • to highlight the best practices of organisations through orators who are catalysts of change
  • to recognise compelling thought leaders who can motivate others towards a progressive and harmonious globalized world
